Book Preface

INTRODUCTION
Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet program, sometimes known as a workbook. A workbook is a computer program to collect similar data in one place for present and future usage.
Microsoft Excel is one of several spreadsheet programs available. Before the debut of Excel w, Lotus 123 was one of the most popular spreadsheets in the 1980s. Excel was released in 1984-1985. It was created for the Apple Macintosh computer system.
Other spreadsheet applications exist and have existed in the past, but Excel and Lotus are the most frequently used. Nearly every company in the United States, if not the whole world, uses Microsoft Excel. Alternatively, for IBM compatible PCs or Apple systems. Spreadsheets have become so popular that my daughter learned how to use them in fifth grade. This indicates that Microsoft Excel will continue to be used for years, if not decades, to come as long as Microsoft continues to improve the product and remain ahead of the competition.
Do you work with Excel? If so, when did you first hear about it? Do you prefer Excel on a PC or an Apple device?Do you utilize Excel Macros (VBA) as well? The backbone of Microsoft Excel is macros, which are built up of VBA. Users can utilize it to automate parts of their work. If you often copy and paste data from one sheet to another, you may construct a macro to automate the process, saving you time in the future. You may either record the Excel macro or input the Excel VBA that creates it. The simplest method to begin automating your files is to record Excel macros.
The code that creates the macro may then be viewed in the VBA editor. You can edit your macro by changing one or more lines of code. The more you do it, the more you will learn. Before you know it, you’ll be an expert. It only takes some time and effort. Anyone can learn Excel VBA because there are so many good books on the subject. Google is another excellent resource. Type in Excel VBA. Help to uncover a plethora of learning materials, most of which are free.
You may also hire an Excel VBA specialist to assist you with your documents. While this is more expensive, it allows you to receive findings much more quickly, typically within hours or the same day. If you’re not sure where to seek an excel expert, type “excel experts” into Google, and you’ll get many results. Look through the first five Google results to see if any excel consulting companies show up. Take a look at the website if that’s the case. Please remember that you’ll need more than an excel expert; you’ll need an excel expert who also understands how to use Excel VBA. Many of them don’t, so you may have to search for one that does.
If you’re using Excel on a Mac, consider that VBA is only accessible in a few versions.

WHAT IS EXCEL AND THINGS YOU CAN MAKE WITH IT

Microsoft has announced two new Office versions: Office 2021 for consumers and Office LTSC for commercial

was the prior Office 2019 edition.
Microsoft has not yet completely detailed all of the features and improvements in Office 2021. Nonetheless, the Office LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) edition will contain dark mode support, accessibility enhancements, and Excel capabilities such as Dynamic Arrays and XLOOKUP. Similar features will be included in Office 2021. There will be no substantial UI changes here, either. The dark mode is a visible shift, but Microsoft will continue to prioritize the UI and cloud-powered features in the Microsoft 365 editions of Office.
However, Office LTSC is a clear indication from Microsoft that not all of its corporate customers are ready to migrate to the cloud. “It’s a question of trying to meet consumers where they are,” says Jared Spataro, Microsoft 365 chief, in an interview with The Verge. “We certainly have a lot of clients who have gone to the cloud in the last ten months; that has happened in a big way. Simultaneously, we have clients that have particular circumstances in which they do not believe they can migrate to the cloud.”
THIS UPCOMING OFFICE RELEASE IS FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WISH TO USE MICROSOFT 365. These examples include regulated businesses where processes and programs cannot be changed every month and industrial factories that rely on Office and require a fixed time release. Microsoft is also committed to another permanent edition of Office in the future, but the cost and support for these new versions are changing.
Office LTSC will now be supported for five years rather than the seven years that Microsoft has traditionally guaranteed for Office. Office Professional Plus, Office Standard, and individual licenses are all priced differently. Applications are also increasing by 10% for commercial users, but consumer and small business pricing for Office 2021 remains unchanged.
The timing of Office LTSC support is more closely aligned with how Windows is supported. Microsoft is likewise tightening the gap between its Office and Windows release timetables. In the second half of 2021, the next editions of Office LTSC and Windows 10 LTSC will be launched. “They will be tightly timed,” adds Spataro, “although we do not yet have the details for the Windows release.” “The goal is to bring them together so that companies can deploy and manage them on the same cadence.”
Microsoft aims to deliver an Office LTSC preview in April, followed by a complete release later. However, the consumer Office 2021 edition will not be accessible in preview. Both of the new Office editions will feature OneNote and will be available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
When I tell folks about the many data analysis applications I use, I occasionally receive blank looks when I mention MS Excel. Many people forget that not everyone is familiar with Microsoft Excel and its features. Microsoft Excel, or simply Excel, is an electronic spreadsheet application commonly used to store data. After you’ve saved your data, you may utilize MS Excel to organize and edit it. It’s critical to arrange data in a meaningful way to make manipulating it to discover answers or patterns easier.
When you launch Microsoft Excel 2013, it appears to be identical to MS Excel 2007 and 2010. The interface will change if you’re using an earlier version of Excel, but the concept of a spreadsheet will stay the same.
So, when I open Excel, what do I see?
