Cutaneous neoplasms include a wide array of benign and malignant proliferations showing diverse etiology and differentiation. Many unusual and rare tumors unique to the skin have been described, and many proliferations more commonly seen in other organ systems, especially soft tissue and lymphatic tumors, can also involve the skin either primarily or secondarily. Many of these entities can be difficult to precisely classify, as they may show overlapping features with other tumors in the differential and can prove challenging for general pathologists, dermatologists, and even dermatopathologists in some cases. Although there are many dermatopathology textbooks currently available, they are mostly traditional textbooks written in a paragraph-based format, with relatively few clinical and histologic photographs. In contrast, this book is lavishly illustrated and written in a detailed yet concise bulleted format, which facilitates the reader’s ability to quickly find relevant information.
