Your positive reception has been an incredible encouragement, especially in light o the short li e o the Case Files® series. In t his i th edition o Case Files®: Surgery, the basic ormat o the book has been retained. Improvements were made by updating many o the chapters, with ive completely rewritten cases: Breast Cancer Risk and Surveillance, Colon Cancer, hyroid Mass, Pheochromocytoma, and H emorrhage and Hypotension. We reviewed the clinical scenarios with the intent on improving them; however, we ound that their realli e presentations patterned a ter actual clinical experience remained accurate and instructive. he multiple-choice questions have been care ully reviewed and rewritten to ensure that they comply with the National Board and USMLE ormats. By reading this i th edition, we hope that you will continue to enjoy learning surgical management through the simulated clinical cases.
